Attorney & CPA

Kristen is both an attorney and a certified public accountant. With a friendly, straightforward approach, Kristen listens carefully to her clients’ needs. She provides counsel on options that will best achieve their goals on a wide range of litigation and transaction matters. She concentrates her practice in business, real estate, family, and tax law.

In addition to practicing law, she also is retained as an expert witness in various family law cases involving financial disputes.

Further, she served as treasurer of the Chicago Women’s Criminal Defense Bar Association for five years and remained actively involved in the association. She also has been invited as a keynote speaker to attorneys on how to prevail on petitions for relief of judgments that are more than 30 days old as well as Chicago landlords and brokers regarding obligations and remedies under the residential landlord and tenant ordinance.

Prior to completing law school, Kristen was a tax consultant at Ernst & Young, RSM McGladrey, and Deloitte. While attending law school, Kristen gained invaluable experience serving as a judicial extern for a Will County family law judge and as a law clerk for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in the narcotics asset forfeiture unit.

Outside of work, you often will find Kristen and her wife, Kelly, indulging in thin-crust pizza, cheering at a sporting event, or training for a long-distance race.
